LI-TECA, Inc. a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization was founded in 2003 by a group of parents seeking to Identify support and unite twice exceptional (2e) students, and to educate and inform parents, educators and professional care providers with research-based information to understand and provide appropriate interventions for the social, emotional and academic support of twice exceptional students.


TECA's founding board includes professionals in the fields of education, medicine, psychology, social work and special education law. They have authored, co-authored and contributed to several published articles, and have lectured at schools and conferences on the subject of twice exceptionality. The majority of TECA's board members are also parents of twice exceptional students.
